cheese bags

We are absolutely in love with these new cheese bags from France now in the shop!
As the back of the box explains, "Proper storage of your cheese preserves the purity of its flavor while extending its shelf life.  Our premium cheese storage bags stimulate the environment of a cheese cave, where cheeses are traditionally aged.  While conventional plastic wrap suffocates cheese, our unique material allows cheese to breathe while maintaining optimal humidity with the simplicity of an easy to use bag.
The result is cheese that stays fresh, longer."

They are so useful and quite adorable, as well (we are all about the packaging!).  Grab a box for yourself and pick one up for the next time you need that unique hostess gift.  Pair it with some yummy cheese and a bottle of wine and that hard-to-buy-for-person in your life will adore it!

design {a journal collector}

A lovely home office for the creative writer!
We gathered all of our client's journals into charming little stacks and piles or grouped them into unique containers and made sure they were all easily accessible.

And a softer, quieter little corner to sit and read or reflect...

i just love making pillows...

I cannot help myself.  When I see beautiful fabric, I just have to make pillows!  I picked up this amazing, cheery fabric in France and brought it home with me with no real set plan for it.  Then, I found these colorful zippers and I just had to sew up some pillows.  My daughter, Christine, loves to mix up the pillows on her already adorable front porch, and with her newly painted front door, I just knew this would be the place for these bright, happy pillows!

Cheers to new pillows!

design {home office}

This is not your typical home office.
The key to our design approach here was to focus on the mixing and layering of elements.
One example of this is seen in mixing the chairs in the room, one slipcovered highback chair, a settee with arm and leg exposed, mixed with a little iron and wood garden chair.

Mixing the feminine with function to get a productive working environment.

Shop around to find unique containers to group your things together.

summer travels {balboa}

Another great year at the beach with the whole big crew.
One of my grandkids said this was his favorite week of the whole year :)

Bags for each family.  With the way we are growing, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep up :)
Numbers 20 and 21 were born this summer!
Carpooling to the beach!
Even the big kids need a nap...
Family soccer.
Meeting new cousins.
So happy to be reunited with favorite cousins :)

Until next summer!
